We breed Bernedoodle and Bordoodle puppies in Southwest Colorado, between Mesa Verde and the peaks of the La Plata mountains. With a strong focus on temperament and health, along with beautiful structure and color, our puppies make excellent companions. My dams and sires must have good/excellent health test results. I aim to raise dogs who are smart and loyal, quickly bonding to their humans with a strong will to please. But, they should also be confident and resilient, adapting easily to new experiences. I do my best to make sure their earliest experiences are positive and helpful for emotional growth.

Bordoodles are smart and biddable, they want to please their humans! Bordoodles are athletic and have amazing stamina for outdoor activities. Bordoodles are perfect companions for individuals and families who want a partner in canine sports and obedience, an athletic dog to accompany them on adventures, and a dog who wants nothing more than to curl up next to them at the end of day.
WHY MIX BREEDS?
Have you heard of hybrid vigor? Might it produce a genetically healthier dog? Did you know that all purebred dogs started as selective breeding and crossbreeding? I won’t go into all the studies on hybrid vigor in dogs here except to say that I’m a believer. Another reason is to produce a low or non-shedding, less allergenic coat and maintaining each breed’s best qualities. It is crucial to begin with healthy parent dogs!
IS A BERNADOODLE OR BORDOODLE RIGHT FOR YOU?
Bringing a new family member into your home is a big decision. It is important to consider if this type of dog will fit into your lifestyle. A Doodle’s coat requires frequent bathing and grooming. If their coat is neglected, it will become matted and may need a short shave. Both Bernedoodles and Bordoodles want to be close to their people. They will be unhappy and develop bad habits if they are left alone for long periods of time. They can be sensitive in nature and learn quickly, but respond best to gentle correction. Early socialization is important as they can be tentative of strangers. Puppies require training and boundaries, just like toddlers. Crate training, basic commands and leash training will make your puppy a lovely companion, both inside and on outdoor adventures. Doodles need daily exercise, but they don’t require constant activity. They enjoy their daily naps!
